Dear, ladies and gentlemen, students and postgraduate students, employees and partners of the University!
I sincerely welcome you to the main information resource of the State University of Infrastructure and Technologies!
State University of Infrastructure and Technologies is a university with a glorious tradition and a high international reputation in the field of education and research.
Our University is the youngest and, at the same time, one of the oldest educational institutions of Kyiv. It was formed by merging of two institutions of higher education the State Economics and Technologies University of Transport and the Kyiv State Maritime Academy named after Hetman Petro Konashevych-Sagaidachnyi, the one which had more than a century of history of its formation and development. The two teams on their own initiative, voluntarily decided to double their potential and unite into one University. Our decision was supported by the Ministry of Education and Science and the Government on February 29, 2016 by establishing a new University. Our aim is to ensure and optimize the network of higher education institutions in compliance with the needs of the Ukrainian labor market.
We profit new opportunities to solve a wide range of quality training tasks for the transport infrastructure of Ukraine, to meet European standards and requirements of national legislation on higher education, scientific and technical activities.
There are four institutes in SUIT: three in Kyiv and one in Izmail, Odessa region, where we train junior bachelors, bachelors, masters and doctors of philosophy for water and rail transport for Ukraine and international market. In two University colleges (one is in Kyiv and the other is in Kiliia, Odessa region), professional junior bachelors or junior specialists of transport infrastructure are trained. Water transport specialists are trained and retrained at the Educational-scientific Kyiv simulator Centre of training and refreshing competence of Maritime transport specialists. Educational and Research Center for Postgraduate Education organises advanced training of managers and specialists of regional branches and affiliates of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia”. The University prepares scientific and scientific-pedagogical staff by means of own postgraduate and doctoral studies and provides them with the opportunity to acquire PhD and doctoral degrees in specialised academic councils. Students, postgraduate students and employees embody their creative abilities participating in the amateur groups of the Centre of Culture and Arts of the University, including in the People’s Theatre-Studio “Raido”. Our student teams in swimming, mini-football, basketball, arm wrestling and other sports are traditionally leaders of the championships of Kyiv and the Universiade.
The facilities of the University include its own educational buildings; laboratories in general and professional subjects; computer classes equipped with personal computers of the latest modifications and connected to local and global networks; library; assembly halls; sport grounds and gyms, student dormitories.
A highly qualified teaching staff includes about 300 teachers, more than 40 doctors of sciences, professors and 150 candidates of sciences, associate professors, dozens of practitioners in the field of water and rail transport. SUIT cooperates with higher educational institutions of foreign countries and international organisations. We develop and implement the regulations of education and science, international standards by providing our students with quality of training necessary competencies to become leading experts in transport organisations. Our achievements in proper training result in successful employment of our graduates and their career growth at the enterprises, institutions and organizations of sea, river and railway transport of Ukraine and other countries.
