The State University of Infrastructure and Technology has a primary trade union organization of students and graduate students, which is part of the Ukrainian Trade Union of River Transport Workers.
The Primary Trade Union of Students and Postgraduates of the State University of Infrastructure and Technology (PTUSP SUIT) is an independent, non-profit public organization that unites students and graduate students of the University to protect, represent the rights and interests of union members. PTUSP SUIT in its activities is guided by the Constitution of Ukraine, the Law of Ukraine “On Trade Unions, their rights and guarantees of activity”, the Statute of the Ukrainian Trade Union of River Transport Workers, the Regulations of PTUSP SUIT and the Statute of SUIT.
The trade union is unaccountable and not under the control of the university administration, public authorities, local governments, public, political and other organizations. The trade union committee of students and graduate students cooperates with the university administration on issues related to the educational process, life and leisure of students.
A member of a trade union is a person who has written an application to join the trade union and regularly pays a membership fee. The membership fee for one month is 1% of the monthly stipend. Trade union membership is exclusively voluntary.

- excursions in Ukraine and abroad;
- receiving free tickets for sports and cultural events in Kyiv;
- permanent or temporary employment.
