In order to become a student of SUIT, you must:
- get an invitation to study;
- get a long-term visa (type D);
- inform Department of International Relations of the SUIT about the date and time of arrival in Ukraine;
- become a student of SUIT!
To receive an invitation for study, a foreign citizen must send a letter by mail, fax or e-mail to the university administration with a request to join the State University of Infrastructure and Technology (SUIT).

Documents required for issuing an invitation to study:
- application for membership;
- a copy of your passport or other identity document;
- a copy of the certificate with the application of complete secondary education;
- written consent to the processing of personal data.
The university examines the received documents and, if they meet the established requirements, sends the candidate an original (or a scanned copy) of an invitation to study.
An invitation to study is required for:
- obtaining a visa to enter Ukraine;
- confirmation of the purpose of entry during passport control (checked by border guards);
- admission to the university.
The invitation is valid for six months from the date of issue.
To obtain an entry visa, apply to the nearest Embassy of Ukraine in your own country or in a neighboring country with an application for an entry visa, adding to the necessary documents an invitation for study at the State University of Infrastructure and Technology.
Important! Citizens of the EU countries, USA and Switzerland have the right to stay in Ukraine without a visa for 90 calendar days. If you plan to stay here longer, you need to apply for a visa to the nearest diplomatic mission of Ukraine in your country.
At the international airports in Kiev, you should be met by a representative of the University.
Not later than the next day after arriving in Ukraine, you must submit documents to the Department of International Relations of the SUIT.
Documents required for admission to DUIT:
- passport;
- notarized translation into Ukrainian of the passport – 2 copies;
- application (completed at the university);
- original invitation to study – only for visa countries;
- certificate of complete secondary education with the mark APOSTILLE;
ATTENTION!!! The APOSTILLE mark on the document on previous education is NECESSARY!!! - notarized translation into Ukrainian of the certificate of complete general secondary education or another document about previous study with the mark APOSTILLE – 2 copies;
- a medical certificate on the possibility of studying at an institution of higher education, certified by the official health authority of the country from which the foreigner arrived, or by a medical institution of Ukraine (issued no later than two months before entering the study);
- notarized translation into Ukrainian of a medical certificate on the possibility of studying at an institution of higher education – 1 copy;
- 8 (eight) color photographs (30 x 40 mm);
- written consent to the processing of personal data (to be completed at the university).
Additionally, for applicants of the Institute of Water Transport (correspondence course), if available, you must provide::
- seaman’s passport;
- working diploma with confirmation (in the specialty for which the applicant enters);
- a document confirming the place and length of service on ships for the last 12 months;
- a certificate (copy of the work with translation) about the length of service on watercraft as part of the deck / engine crew in accordance with the specialty chosen for entry for the last 12 months.
Necessarily! All documents must be certified and translated into Ukrainian and certified by a Ukrainian notary.
Attention!
- Foreigners are enrolled in training based on the results of an interview and exam (in the form of a test).
- One of the conditions for the admission of citizens of other countries to the University is their knowledge of the language of instruction at a level sufficient to assimilate the educational material.

Cost of education
Start of classes
The academic semester begins on September 1st.
Enrollment of foreign students for full-time education lasts until October 1.
Preparatory classes usually begin on October 1st. The date may vary, depending on the configuration of academic groups.
Foreign students have the primary right to get a place in the hostel, if necessary.
Main expenses:
- Tuition fees;
- Payment for accommodation in a hostel – approximately 9000 UAH.
- Insurance (medical and migration risks) – policies can be purchased on the territory of Ukraine.
- Registration of a temporary residence permit in Ukraine – the cost is specified in the State Migration Service of Ukraine.
